1. About these terms
KatLink is a VPN service operated by KATSOFT. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use KatLink
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and able to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- An account is for one person. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Packages
- Before you pay, each package shows its price, duration, data allowance (if any), how many devices can connect at once, any speed cap, and when it starts: on payment, on activation, or on first connection.
- Access ends automatically when the package's time runs out or its data allowance is used up, whichever comes first. Unused time or data does not carry over unless the package says so.
- Packages do not renew automatically.
5. Payments
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. A package is activated only after the payment is confirmed.
- Prices are shown in Naira and may change, but a change never affects a package you have already bought.
6. Refunds
If we cannot activate a package you paid for, or a fault on our side prevents you from using it, we will re-issue the package or refund you. Contact us within 7 days of the problem. Apart from that, and except where the law requires otherwise, packages that have started are not refundable.
7. Vouchers
- A voucher can be redeemed once, before its expiry date, for the package it names.
- Anyone who has the code can redeem it. Keep it private. We can't replace a voucher someone else has used.
- Vouchers have no cash value. We may cancel vouchers that were obtained fraudulently.
8. Your device configurations
Each configuration contains a private key for one device. Don't share configurations or use more devices than your package allows. We may replace or revoke a configuration that appears to be shared or compromised.
9. Service availability
We work to keep KatLink available and fast, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or any particular speed. Speed depends on your own connection and network conditions. We may carry out maintenance, which we will try to schedule at quiet times.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect our customers, our network or others. Where we can, we will tell you why. You can stop using KatLink and ask us to close your account at any time.
11. Disclaimers
A VPN encrypts traffic between your device and our gateway. It does not make you anonymous, and it does not protect you against malware, phishing or the services you choose to use. The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows.
12. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders before it takes effect. The version that applies to a package is the one in force when you bought it.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
